'Snowdrop' Latchford locks 10th April 2017
Photo kindly sent to me by local photographer Tom Lavery who was on the scene at Latchford to catch the Snowdrop making her first cruise of the season up to Salford Quays. Mersey ferries had a terrible year in 2016. With nearly all ship canal cruises suspended initially due to the bridge deck collapse at Barton and then later 'Royal Iris' being holed after touching the bottom near Eastham leaving them with just one vessel to run the Mersey sailings. Hopefully 2017 will be a better year for them.
