Over time i will be compiling a set of photographs of the disused Sankey canal as it is today showing the condition and various obstacles that a restoration project would have to overcome.
Much of the canal still survives and there are some excellent walks along it's length. It would be great to see it fully restored even if it was from Fiddlers Ferry to Sankey Valley park. I believe seeing boats here again would transform this part of Warrington and add a lot of value to the town and it's heritage.
