The locks at Latchford are accessible via a footpath across the lock gates. At one time all of the locks gates on the big and small locks were considered footpaths but over the years some of these have fell into disrepair. The upper small lock gates seen here are some of those that don't work any more. The lower big lock walkways have also been condemned meaning that the general public have to walk round to the top gates thus adding a few more minutes on their journey..
