Photographs taken along the old river Weaver section between Frodsham and where the river empties out into the ship canal. The old river spurs off the Weaver navigation at the disused lock just above Frodsham and runs into the MSC near Weston Point. The Weston Canal provides access to the Weaver navigation from Weston Point docks or Weston Marsh lock. As of 2011 there hasn't been any commercial traffic on the Weaver navigation since 1998. However barge traffic has continued on the old river to Frodsham quay and has seen a substantial increase from 2010.
